The root of disease, injury, or mental illness stems from our emotions and beliefs. They create a pattern in the body. Wholesome emotions and beliefs lead to wellness.
Negative emotions and beliefs begin a cascade of events. Normally, it first shows up as strong emotions, but because we often try to “power through,” we stuff them into our subconscious. Then, repeating patterns of unfortunate events begin to happen.
When your emotions and the signals of life are ignored, we begin to develop inexplicable pain, disease starts forming, and injuries happen — even when we do all the right things for health. Stress hormones begin to surge, our nervous system becomes over activated, we cannot rest at night, and so on.
There are many professionals for different levels of injury, disease, and pain. I respect and validate all of them. On the other hand, myself and other shamans work at some of the deepest levels — your soul. This is why miracles can occur, because you literally become a new person.

I’m Miko, a shamanic healer and energy worker based in Hilo, Hawaii. My journey began with science, logic, and service in the U.S. Army. I am a graduate of UC Irvine and Columbia University, once was a Pulitzer Center fellow, and an NPR affiliate journalist. Today, I combine ancient Filipino traditions, intuitive energy healing, and compassionate guidance to bring profound transformation to my clients.
